Which type of Oxford Punch Needle to choose?
Oxford Punch Needles are designed by punch needle expert Amy Oxford. This punch needle is designed for both comfort and speed make punching an enjoyable, relaxing craft for both, professionals and beginners. At Wild Wool Way, I offer both widths – Fine and Regular – punch needle with a selection of sizes available in each width. Regular needles can be used with chunky, super chunky, aran weight yarns or it allows for the combination of numerous threads of finer yarns / novelty yarns to get really creative with your projects. The Fine needle as the name suggest can be used for finer work (not embroidery fine), fine Oxford needles can be used with Aran weight, double knitting, sock weight yarns (multiple strands). Within the widths fine and regular their are different size punch needle, the higher the number the lower the loop size. Read below to see the sizes available in each width. The needles also can come boxed or unboxed. Boxed needles come in a decorative keepsake box, a handy stitch gauge and a 32 page booklet which includes directions and illustrations on how to get started. The different size needles create different loop sizes. The higher the number the lower the loop size. Regular sizes available are #8, #9, #10, #13, #14. No threader required.
Collection
The collection is a set of 2 Punch needles, a Fine Needle paired with a Regular Punch Needle and each width is a different size, so you can experiment with loop heights and different fibres.

Recommended for use with:
- Monks cloth
- Super chunky, chunky wool rug yarn, Aran weight yarns, cut strips of fabric and other fibres
