Punching Yarn
Which type of Punch Needle Yarn is best for you punch needle project?
A range of yarn suitable for all types of punch needle projects, from wool rug yarn to cotton yarn. The type of yarn you use depends on your project, your needle and your foundation fabric. The finer the punch needle the finer the yarn. The tighter the weave on the foundation cloth the lighter the yarn. If you would like to punch something that will have a lot of traffic such as a rug, then I would recommend wool rug yarn. If you are looking at doing a wall hanging and you want to have lots of textures then I would recommend using whatever you have in your stash and mix it with wool rug yarn or other novelty yarns. At Wild Wool Way, I offer Punch Needle Rug Yarn. Select your own colours with 50g of Rug Yarn and start punching the needle!
