The rug wool gives the perfect stitch count and heights when you are learning the craft, making it an enjoyable experience. The rug wool is chunky bulky weight I recommend using it with a Regular Oxford Punch Needle or the Lavor 5mm Adjustable Punch Needle (show in photo for demonstration, these are sold separately).
